EFÍMERO

FILMS,

where your stories bloom

“Storytelling is not about escapism, is about self-knowledge.”

Organic, Rich, Transversal Stories

Efímero Films was founded by a group of creatives from different fields and disciplines related to audio-visual, performing arts and new narratives. Our experiences in these fields offer a unique and personal approach of the whole creation process, from the simple seed to the end product.

EFIMERO’S PHILOSOPHY AND METHODOLOGY

Efímero Films was created in response to the need to create stories in line with the times we live in. We do so by combining narrative quality and technological development. That’s why, although we acknowledge the heritage the art and industry of the moving image in continuous evolution ever since its birth has left us, we have our minds firmly set on the present and we dream about the future.

Our starting point is often a question which both worries and attracts us, and for which we don’t have an answer… Through various design thinking processes, which combine reflection and implementation in equal parts, we explore possible answers. And in this iteration of questions and possible answers we discover things we didn’t know.

Thanks to this process, we explore different narrative worlds as we draw an up-to-date map highlighting the strongest points in storytelling, formats and platforms where to pitch and develop successful projects.

And as we go along exploring and opening new ways, we make sure to take the necessary steps and actions to carry out our strategy and to find the partners we’d like to invite on board with us.

EFÍMERO METHODOLOGY

EFÍMERO METHODOLOGY

If there is something that identifies Efímero Films, it is our unique way of working.

We base our methodology on three interconnected concepts.

We build all our projects on them:
Transmedia Storytelling, Design Thinking and Creativity.

TRANSMEDIA STORYTELLING

A complex narrative model in which the story is divided into many others that are distributed on different interconnected platforms. Despite the variety of stories and the fact that each piece is valid by itself, they all refer to a common narrative universe that groups them together and with which they are consistent with each other.

In this way, we not only work on the story plots, but we also elaborate the entire universe that contains it, which offers us infinite solutions to improve and expand the project.

DESIGN THINKING

Our process of analysis and creation of a work is based on the principles identified with Design thinking. This consists of an iterative, non-linear process. Design thinking includes activities such as context analysis, search and framing of problems, generation of solutions and prototyping and user tests.

In the process, all kinds of tools are used to broaden the horizons of the minds of the creatives who participate.

CREATIVITY

Creativity is a muscle and a tool and at Efímero Films we are hard trainers. That the work is right is not good enough. We apply different exercises and creative processes that help us find new angles and perspectives to the stories we work with.

We know the rules of creation and dramatic construction, and precisely for this reason we can transgress them to go further. In short, we believe in thinking out of the box.
